The CIBTAC QCF Facial Electrical Treatments Certificate is an ideal extension to the CIBTAC QCF Facial Skincare qualification and is for those who wish to progress further into the field of advanced skin care and provides high quality training in; Skin Analysis, Electrical Modalities, such as galvanic, high frequency, vacuum suction, faradic and micro-current.

During this course you will learn how to perform a detailed skin analysis and how to devise a treatment plan for a variety of skin types using Facial Electrical modalities.  Facial Electrical Treatments are results driven treatments; they improve the appearance of the skin, help postpone early signs of ageing, erase minor sun damage, scarring and pigmentation giving the Advanced Skin Therapist more choice for their client’s skin care needs.  

A qualification in Facial Electrical Treatments is required to train in René Guinot’s Hydradermie² Facial also Environ’s (IIAA) infamous DF Ionzyme Machine developed by famous plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernandez and the renowned CACI non-surgical facial plus the more recent Hydra facial treatment.

The qualification also provides a sound platform into further training at level 4 in advanced skin care.

Entry Requirements

Minimum age for acceptance on to the course is 16. Students must hold a Level 2 national standard qualification in beauty therapy, facial skincare, skin treatments or equivalent. Please send a photocopy of your qualification/s with your application. 

Academic Grades: GCSE English Language grade of C - A*, grades 4 - 9 or equivalent. Proficiency in English language for communication, reading and writing is essential.

Qualification

Students who successfully complete the examination will be awarded an internationally recognised CIBTAC diploma at UK Level 3 national standards regulated by Ofqual approved by BABTAC.  

This CIBTAC Diploma will enable graduates to become members of BABTAC (British association of beauty therapy and cosmetology) to gain public liability insurance to work in the UK, Ireland and oversea in Beauty Salons, Cruise liners, Medi Spa’s Skin Clinics, or setting up your own business.

All of our courses are now offered in flexible blended learning as the new teaching mode.  Training involves a combination of theory and practical sessions to include home study and completion of a portfolio and case studies.  Power point slides, homework and quizzes, plus professional practical videos of all our skin care treatments are all available our Learning platform.  Students can use these videos to help practice and study from home.    

All of the practical elements are taught and practiced in the school. Initially students practice on a professional Mannequin head to maximise practice time and perfect practical protocols, then progress to practice on each other, once protocols have been learnt. 

The college also offers the opportunity for students to work on models/clients in the School Student Salon, within a a commercial salon environment to allow them to increase their confidence.   Each student is responsible to provide a suitable model for the practical examination for the mock practical examination and the final examination.

Students will need access to an iPad, Laptop or Computer plus a printer for the duration of the course.

Dress Code

To meet Industry standards a professional beauty uniform must be worn at all times. Jewellery must be removed, hair tied up, nails must be short and tidy, and all shoes must be closed toe

Progression

Following successful completion of the Cibtac Aesthetic Course you will be able to progress to the Cibtac Level 4 Advanced Skin Therapies Courses such as, Chemical Skin Peels, Microneedling, Mesotherapy and IPL / Laser.

Examination

The Pass Mark for CIBTAC is 60%.

Student must compile a Portfolio with client case studies as part of the final examination
